We brought board games expecting rainy days — the sun laughed at our planning. Quality linens and good mattresses in every room. A local recommended watching pelicans dive at dawn and it delivered. One meal that stood out: fish tacos from Corral del Risco. Nights so quiet you hear the surf from every room. Communication before and during was seamless. Five stars from our group.
No resort. No concierge. No white-glove anything. Just a house on the Pacific with good surf and a kitchen. We bought fish from a panga at the beach, cooked it ourselves with lime and chili, drank Pacificos watching the sunset. Surfed every morning. Read in the afternoons. The isolation is the whole point — if you want room service, this isn’t for you. If you want to hear nothing but waves for a week, start here.
Casa Oceano for when you want nothing but coast. Six bedrooms, remote Pacific setting. No services — we brought groceries and surfboards. The tide pools at low tide fascinated the kids for hours. Stars visible that city dwellers forget exist. The access road is unpaved and bumpy.
