Casa Cielito Lindo

My parents brought me here as a kid in the 90s. Coming back thirty years later with my own children was something. The bay at night with the city lights below, the warm Pacific air, fresh seafood at the little restaurant near the pier — some things haven’t changed. The cook made pozole one evening that tasted exactly like what I remembered from childhood. We swam in the bay, explored the coast, drank cold beers on the terrace watching the boats. My father would have loved this. Increíble.

Took my mother back to the Acapulco of her honeymoon. Cielito Lindo’s six bedrooms have the tile floors and wrought iron she remembered. Cook made pozole that made her cry. The cliff-side pool is iconic. We watched La Quebrada divers from a distance. The house has soul.

The terraces at Cielito Lindo are dramatic — our teenagers spent the week jumping into the pool from every angle while we watched from the shade. Six bedrooms of retro Acapulco at Marina Brisas. Cook made ceviche from the morning market. The bay views are cinematic at every hour. Some fixtures are dated but the bones of the house are spectacular.
