Luna is raw Pacific coast — No AC, no fuss. Five bedrooms, ocean sound from every one. We surfed, read, slept with windows open. The kitchen is basic but we weren’t there to cook elaborate meals. Fresh fruit from the market, fish from the boats, cold beer. The moon rising over the ocean from the terrace gave the house its name for a reason.
Brought my brother’s family to Luna for something different. Five bedrooms, wild coast, chef service. The kids discovered tide pools and didn’t look at a screen for four days. We cooked breakfast together and let chef handle dinners. The stars at night made a city kid cry. Remote, real, restorative.
We started a mezcal tradition on the first evening — different bottle each night on the terrace after dinner. The cook would bring out sliced oranges and sal de gusano. By night four we were ranking them. That quiet ritual defined the trip more than anything else.
